Gender Is Over // Filipka Rutkowska

Gender Is Over to opowieść zza kulis warszawskiej sceny artystycznej w drugiej dekadzie XXI wieku: w czasach, gdy w Polsce nasilał się nacjonalizm, a świat kultury coraz bardziej otwierał się na queer. Gender Is Over przeplata język historii sztuki z językiem afektu i ciała.

Filipka Rutkowska przedstawia transformację społeczno-kulturową, zabierając czytelnika w intymną podróż przez swoje doświadczenie dorastania w klasie robotniczej oraz późniejsze przenikanie do świata sztuki, kina i teatru. Gender Is Over opowiada o odrzucaniu starych identyfikacji, odnajdywaniu luk w systemach opresji i domaganiu się wolności.

The unicorn — a symbol of what is rare, intuitive, and elusive — has become the emblem of the latest History of Dreams collection. Its fairytale nature contrasts with the minimal grunge aesthetic, distinctive textures, and characteristic patterns, creating a narrative built on the tension between romanticism and austerity.

The collection stems from memories. From images of Polish holidays, moments suspended between sleep and waking, from mornings that come too early, and nights that refuse to end. Nostalgia meets urban reality here, and delicacy meets defiance. This is a wardrobe for people who naturally defy definitions.

Sportswear archetypes have been broken by the subtlety of forms and the nobility of materials. High-quality cotton, silk georgette, French lace, and light wool build a compact, year-round collection designed outside the rhythm of seasons. Individual elements freely intertwine and create a personal language of style — effortless, intuitive, and expressive.

History of Dreams celebrates individuality, not as a declaration, but as a daily practice. It is a collection about the pleasure of dressing, the power of contrasts, and beauty found where it seemingly does not fit.
