Partnership with the Green Fund enables the brand to actively join the municipal campaign which aims to develop green infrastructure in Warsaw by providing financial support for pro-ecological initiatives.

The brand has decided to allocate a portion of funds from each sale in the stationary shop and online to the purchase and planting of bulbous plants in areas managed by the Management of the Warsaw Municipal Greenspace Authority.

Declaration of respect for the 10 Principles of the UN Global Compact

In 2021, AK signed the United Nations’ declaration of respect for the 10 principles, which are implemented in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption.

By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into its internal strategies, policies and procedures, and establishing a culture of integrity, the brand is not only upholding its basic responsibilities to people and planet, but also setting the stage for long-term success.

The brand has committed to:

• support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights

• make sure that it is not complicit in human rights abuses

• uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining

• contribute to the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour

• contribute to the effective abolition of child labour

• contribute to the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation

• support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges

• undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility

• encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies

• work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.

Pro-environmental actions

Clothes and accessories are made locally, in Poland.

All fabrics and accessories used in the production are natural or recycled and made in Europe.

Natural leathers used for bags and accessories are 100% vegetable tanned in an environmentally friendly way.

Packaging used for internal and external circulation is 100% biodegradable.

Packaging

According to our manufacturer’s declaration, the packaging used by AK is made of cellulose, which is a renewable, raw material. Its extraction is carried out without harming the Earth’s resources.

The papers comply with the E13432 standard according to which they are classified as 100% biodegradable material.

Cardboard boxes can be recycled up to 7 times or burned with energy recovery.

Paper is 100% ecological and therefore environmentally friendly.

The cases in which we recommend keeping AK accessories are made from surplus materials from which the collections are sewn.
